Our mission is twofold… Getting Kids off the floor and into warm safe beds and Making kids smiles one toy at a time.

 

Why do we make beds? (and toys)

We have Government programs to help families with Housing, Food and health care for kids but their is zero help to provide beds for children! Could you imagine what life would be like if you did have a bed, sleeping on a few old couch cushions or a pile of old clothes? For hundreds of kids in Summit county this is all they have. We can change this, we can focusing the efforts of individuals, small and larges group to change the life of a child. Providing them with a bed so they can have a good night rest. It’s a smile, make a bed change a life.

Our mission of making beds has grown to add simple wooden toys. The two go hand-in-hand. Using the left over lumber from making beds, we make simple wooden toys. With the help of corporate sponsors we not only us the scrap from making beds but now utilize lumber that comes to us from the wood manufacturing industry. Its a win for the environment and the kids. The toys our delivered with our beds (for the younger kids) and to Akron Children's Hospital.

 
 

  • Our amazing team of regular and part-time volunteers are committed to helping others. We take our convictions and turn them into action, making toys and beds.   • We started back in 2018 just making beds with a National organization. Not long after that we stared making toys from the wood that was left over from making bed. Beds and Toys two thing has the power to bring real joy into a child’s life. In 2021 we brought the toys and beds together under one local nonprofit called Woodworkers with Heart.
